Shelford 3s 0 Bedford Athletic 45

A 7 try display saw Bedford Athletic ease to victory at close neighbours Shelford.

Remarkably the performance witnessed two hat tricks with the first of those being begun by Brodie Longmuir in the third minute. He scored again in the 27th minute and with Kieran Farrer adding the first of his three tries in the 31st minute and Lewis Lancaster kicking two conversions, the visitors led 19-0 at halftime. Bedford Athletic managed only one further score in the first half an hour of the second half which saw Longmuir complete his hat trick but the floodgates opened in the final ten minutes. Kieran Farrer scored his second try, Lewis Lancaster added a try to add to the five conversions he was to kick over the course of the afternoon and at the death Farrer made sure his first appearance for the club this season would not go unnoticed by dotting down for his hat trick try.

The win keeps the side in second place as the half way point of the season is reached in Counties Two Eastern Counties still leading Newmarket by a point.
